Former U.S. men’s national team and five-a-side national team coach John Kowalski is the recipient of the Walt Chyzowych Lifetime Achievement Award, which will be presented Saturday at theUnited Soccer Coaches Convention in Philadelphia.
 
Kowalski was unbeaten — 2-0 win over Canada and 2-2 tie with Mexico at the North American Nations Cup in 1991 — as the interimnational team coach between the tenures of Bob Gansler and Bora Milutinovic.
