Jurgen Klopp hailed his players’ “fantastic performance” in London on Tuesday, as Borussia Dortmund left the Emirates Stadium with a 2-1 win against Arsenal inUEFA Champions League Group F play. “It was a fantastic performance. We had an away game against Arsenal, who are in sensational shape at the moment, yet we managed to cause them a lot ofproblems. It was an open game which we ended up winning thanks to a fantastic move,” the Dortmund coach said after the game.

The move he is talking about came in the 82nd minute. Withthe score tied 1-1 and Arsenal enjoying a period of dominance, Dortmund broke free down the right and Kevin Grosskreutz’s cross found Robert Lewandowski, whocoolly volleyed home to take the wind out of the Gunners’ sails and earn all three points for the away team.

“My team gave their all. We started very well, had fantastic work ratewhen not in possession and created some superb counterattacking situations for ourselves,” Klopp added. “Both teams then battled hard against each other, but we were always alert and readyto decide the game with one attack. After that happened, we did a great job [to hold on for victory], especially in the last eight minutes. It was a great performance, we were verymature.”
