Julio Rocha, the former president of the Nicaraguan soccer federation, was the last of seven soccer officials arrested at a Zurich hotel in May 2015 and extradited when he appeared a courthearing in a U.S. Federal court in Brooklyn. Rocha, who was responsible for overseeing FIFA’s development efforts in Central America, pleaded not guilty on charges stemming from the wide-rangingbribery investigation. Six of the soccer officials were extradited to the United States, the seventh, Eugenio Figueredo, is now under home arrest in Uruguay.
