Liverpool has given the first indication that Luis Suarez may have played his last game at Anfield by agreeing to open talks with Barcelona over the transfer of the striker, who will bebanned from playing for four months following after biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini while on international duty with Uruguay.

It is understood that a Barca delegation led bydirector of soccer management, Raul Sanllehi, will meet Liverpool’s chief executive, Ian Ayre, in London on Wednesday for the opening round of negotiations over the 27-year-old.Some reports have suggested that Suarez’s release clause is 80 million pounds ($137.3 million) and that Barca might be willing to throw in Chile international Alexis Sanchez as a 30million-pound ($51.5 million) make-weight in any deal.
