Luis Suarez will return to the Uruguayan national team for the first time since the 2014 World Cup Friday when it plays Brazil in Recife. He was handed a nine-game international ban forbiting Giorgio Chiellini.

“I am very happy to be back with the national team,” Suarez said. “It’s a special feeling because of all the support I received from a lot of people. Ihope to thank everyone by doing a good job on the field, by helping Uruguay win, and by making people happy.”

Suarez insisted he has learned his lesson after his latest bitingincident.

“I’ve been working hard to contain my anxiety and nervousness to avoid any euphoria,” he said. “But nobody can change the way I play, although I have learned to be smarter incertain situations.”

  1. Suarez could be a great new DP for the Galaxy. He could bite SAN JOSE players so the referee wont have to give out bogus red cards. Has he been checked for rabies? And Galaxy has signed Mike Tyson as new biter coach. Thats right but he wont have to teach Suarez much. Suarez will join Galaxy after Copa America.
