Making only his second start of the season after suffering a groin strain in September, Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany asked to come off at halftime of City’s 1-0 League Cup loss atManchester United because he was “tired,” according to City manager Pep Guardiola.
“He told us he is tired and was not ready to play the second half,” said Guardiola. “Theimportant thing is he is not injured — that is a good step.”
