Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany, who was rammed into by his own goalkeeper, Claudio Bravo, in a 2-1 victory at Crystal Palace on Saturday, will be out forseveral weeks with a knee ligament injury. Kompany was making his first EPL start for seven months but lasted just 37 minutes.
“He has a problem with his knee. He could be out for weeks,” saidcoach Pep Guardiola ahead of City’s Champions League Group C match at Borussia Moenchengladbach on Wednesday. “The doctor told me weeks but did not explain how many.”
