The recent signings of Paul Pogba (world record $115 million) and John Stones ($62 million) by Manchester United and Manchester City, respectively,  put their summer spending to$417.41 million, or more than 40 per cent of the EPL summer spending since May. When you throw in the spending of the other members of the “Big Six” — Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham –they have spend twice as much as the rest of the league combined, according to Spreadex’s figures.
