Seven medical professionals who cared for Argentine legend Diego Maradona during his final days go on trial Tuesday accused of criminal negligence over his death.

Maradona died on November 25, 2020 at age 60 while recovering from brain surgery for a blood clot, after decades battling cocaine and alcohol addictions.
