Mexico exited the Copa Centenario with a 7-0 loss to Chile in the quarterfinals of the Copa Centenario. A fluke? There’s always the Summer Olympics, fans figured. But Mexico, the 2012 gold-medalwinner, was knocked out in the first stage, having won only one game, against lowly (at least in soccer) Fiji. The talent was there: Hirving Lozano, linked with Manchester United, is one ofMexico’s brightest young stars. What was lacking was organization.
