David Beckham wants to build a $250 million state-of-the-art open air stadium with 25,000 seats for his recently acquired Miami-based Major League Soccer team, but shipping interests andlocal authorities have opposed the current proposals to build it near the port of Miami for fear it would be disruptive to port operations.
