USWNT forward Midge Purce will miss the rest of the 2024 NWSL season with Gotham FC after suffering a season-ending anterior cruciate ligament injury during Sunday’s match at the Portland Thorns.

Purce was named the MVP of the 2023 NWSL championship game in leading Gotham FC to a 2-1 win over the San Diego Wave.

She played 148 minutes over four games for the USWNT in its run to the 2024 Concacaf W Gold Cup title.
