History is starting to drift away from Miami
Miami has had a comfortable lead in the Supporters’ Shield race for a while now, but it’s still been fighting for history. The record for points in a single MLS regular season is 73, set by the New England Revolution in 2021. And Miami looked on-pace to break that record at the start of last week. Now, after draws away to Atlanta midweek and NYCFC on Saturday, Miami is looking up at an arduous task.
