United announced it had picked up the options on only two players — Luciano Acosta and Jalen Robinson — and did not exercise options on nine others, including Ian Harkes,the 2016 MAC Hermann Trophy winner, and Nick DeLeon, who scored in overtime of the Knockout Round match United lost to Columbus in a shootout.
