The New England Revolution acquired 29-year-old Ecuadoran center back Xavier Arreaga from the Seattle Sounders for a 2025 international roster spot and $75,000 in conditional GAM.

The Revs (1-6-1) get help at center back in Arreaga, who played for the Sounders when they won MLS Cup 2019 and the 2022 Concacaf Champions League but lost his starting job to Jackson Ragen.

The Revs also signed former Portland Timbers goalkeeper Aljaz Ivacic as a free agent.

• Inter Miami CF signed 28-year-old Paraguayan midfielder Matías Rojas as a free agent.

• Vancouver signed 19-year-old Australian wing back Giuseppe Bovalina from Adelaide United.

Secondary transfer window: opens on July 18 and runs through Aug. 14.
