Orlando City SC looked to fill its goalkeeping vacancy with the acquisition of Toronto FC goalkeeper Joe Bendik.
Orlando City, which did not retain Tally Hall, acquiredBendik from Toronto FC in exchange for a conditional fourth-round selection in the 2017 SuperDraft. Bendik spent two seasons in Norway with Sogndal, one with the Portland Timbers and two withToronto.
The New York Red Bulls signed two academy products — Georgetown senior Brandon Allen and Virginia freshman Derrick Etienne, a Haitian youth international — asHomegrown players. The signings give the Red Bulls seven HG players on their first-team roster, the most of any MLS team.
