• The Seattle Sounders have added three new investors: the families of Adam Selipsky, CEO of Amazon Web Services; Rick Cantu, CEO and co-founder of Redapt, Inc.; and Jay Stein, president of Sand Capital and president of Sandor, a nationwide real estate development company. Majority owner Adrian Hanauer earlier this year unveiled a six-year strategic plan for the Sounders, who will celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2024. They are working on the completion of their new training facility and corporate offices at Longacres. In 2025, the Sounders are qualified for the expanded FIFA Club World Cup to be played in the United States.
