Charlotte FC 2-0 Atlanta United:
Atlanta came into this game with its three best fullbacks out due to injury. With the Five Stripes’ backline as weak as it is already, going against Charlotte was always going to be a tough task defensively—especially with Wilfried Zaha making his debut. Atlanta’s defensive frailty was ultimately its undoing in the opening game of the Saturday slate. But you have to hand it to them, they had ‘em in the first half.
