A full slate of MLS games took place past this weekend, with 15 games on the books for Wednesday, the action is flying thick and fast. Here are the standout players from Matchday 20.

Hany Mukhtar (Nashville SC)

Nashville SC is the best team in MLS, and Hany Mukhtar remains its most important player. The captain scored twice on Saturday night in a statement 4-1 win over Inter Miami at Geodis Park, extending Nashville’s Supporters’ Shield lead to five points.

With new signing Elias Saad rounding out an attack that includes Mukhtar, Sam Surridge, Cristian Espinoza, and outside backs Andy Najar and Reed Baker-Whiting, Nashville’s attack is quite possibly the best in the league. It still all runs through Mukhtar. The 31-year-old Berlin native is up to nine goals and five assists in all competitions.

🗓️ Up next: Nashville at NY Red Bulls (Wednesday, 7:30 pm ET)
