1. The U.S. under-20 men’s national team closed out its winter camp with a 2-2 tie against Mexico. Floridian Nathan Harriel, whoplays for the Philadelphia Union’s U-18/19s, and Ian Hoffmann, who is in his fourth season in German club Karlsruhe’s youth system, scored for the USA. It beat Mexico, 2-0, in the first game of thetwo-game series. The camp was the first under new U-20 coach Anthony Hudson and coincided with the start of the senior national team camp that was moved from Qatar to Bradenton, Florida.

2. Osaze De Rosario, 18, scored the lone goal for NYCFC in its 2-1 loss to Brazil’s Palmeiras in the Florida Cup. De Rosario, whojoined NYCFC’s academy last season, is the son of former MLS MVP Dwayne De Rosario. He started up front with Alexandru Mitrita and Gary Mackay-Steven. In NYCFC’s first game at the Florida Cup, it fellto Corinthians, 2-1. In Saturday’s nightcap, Colombia’s Atletico Nacional beat Corinthians, 2-1, in front of 11,569 fans at Exploria Stadium.

3. Kevin Nylen has been named the new Boston University men’s head coach. Nylen, who spent the last three years as the head coach at FIU, becomes just the sixth BU men’s headcoach in the 70-year history of the program after the retirement of Neil Roberts (1985-2019).
