[CAROLINA CHALLENGE CUP] Jaime Moreno, MLS’s all-time leading goal scorer, scored twice in the last quarter of an hourto give D.C. United a 2-1 win over defending MLS champion Real Salt Lake in the opening game of the Carolina Challenge Cup. The host Charleston Battery of the third division USL-2 tied Toronto FC,0-0, in the second game before 3,316 fans.
