Pescara’s Ghanaian midfielder Sulley Muntari  has been has been banned for one game after walking off the field at Cagliari because the referee cautioned him forcomplaining about racist abuse in the crowd. Muntari said he suffered abuse throughout his team’s 1-0 defeat at Cagliari but was booked for dissent when he asked the ref to stop the game. The32-year-old walked off the field in protest shortly afterward and was then given a second yellow card and sent off.

Serie A’s disciplinary committee said that no action would be taken againstCagliari because only around 10 fans were involved in abusing Muntari.

  1. Well after the fans read this story. Thousands will do the same. So this guy never experienced this before? Best thing to do is try to do something on the field so the fans side will lose. Then smile at them and wave to them after the match.
