A Brazilian court on Friday froze assets belonging to Barcelona star Neymar, his family, and related businesses valued at 188.8 million Brazilian reals ($47.6 million), the Guardianand other news outlets reported. According to the report, a Sao Paulo federal court has charged the 23-year-old with evading 63 million reals ($15.9 million) in Brazil taxes between 2011 and 2013,when the Brazil international moved to Spain’s Barcelona from Brazilian club Santos. According to the AP, the judge froze three times the amount Neymar allegedly failed to pay as a preventivemeasure to stop the player selling assets before the case is settled. He will still have access to bank accounts and other liquid assets.
