Despite the insertion of Landon Donovan in the startinglineup for the first time this season, the LA Galaxy fell to two-time defending champion Monterrey, 1-0, and went out in the semifinals of the Concacaf Champions League, 3-1, on aggregate. The resultwill leave the Galaxy ruing its late collapse in the first leg when it let slip away a 1-0 advantage.
