Former Stanford star Chioma Ubogagu has joined the NWSL’s Houston Dash. The 23-year-old forward starred at Stanford University before signing with Arsenal Ladies of the FA Women’sSuper-League, where she ranked third with a goalscoring rate of a goal every 139.5 minutes.
Ubogagu, whose NWSL rights were acquired from Sky Blue FC, was born in London and raisedoutside Dallas, where she was the 2010 Gatorade Texas Player of the Year. At Stanford, she was named to the 2011 Soccer America All-Freshman Team as she helped the Cardinal win the nationalchampionship. It returned to the Women’s College Cup in 2012 and 2014. She tallied 27 goals and 37 assists in 89 appearances over four years at Stanford.
