Stephen Keshi, who captained Nigeria in its first appearance at the World Cup in 1994 and coached the Super Eagles two years ago at the World Cup in Brazil, died of a heart attack on Wednesdayin Benin City, shortly before he was to return to the United States. Kate, his wife of 35 years, had died of cancer in December and he had been in mourning ever since.
