Pep Guardiola wants to show English fans it’s possible to play “beautiful football” in the Premier League. That was the message from the new Manchester City boss in his first press conferencewith the media on Friday.
Guardiola said there was no reason City couldn’t play the soccer Barca did under him though he admitted he had everything he needed in Spain to succeed.
“I never played on a Boxing Day,” he said. “I have never been to a stadium where it is windy and freezing and the pitch is not good. It’s a target for me. I’m here to prove myself and prove Ican play [the same way].”
