Philipp Lahm, after his 501st appearance for Bayern Munich in a German Cup win over Wolfsburg on Tuesday, confirmed he’s retiring after this season, a year before his contract runsout. The 33-year-old, who been in negotiations over becoming Bayern sporting director, also indicated he would not be taking on that role.
