Michel Platini, suspended from all soccer involvement by FIFA’s ethics committee, hopes to get his 90-day suspension lifted as his appeal was heard by the Court of Arbitration forSport. Platini’s lawyers have argued a 23-page UEFA memo published in a French newspaper supports his claim the $2 million he received from FIFA, authorized by suspended Sepp Blatter in 2011, was forwork he did for FIFA. A CAS decision is expected this week. If Platini is allowed to return to soccer and resume his FIFA presidential draw, it would resume at the Euro 2016 draw in Paris Saturday.
