French politicians are calling on Ligue 1 to take action over Paris Saint-Germain star Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s rant against France and its referees following his team’s 3-2 defeat atBordeaux last weekend. The French league has responded by saying it will study the Swedish player’s outburst and issue possible sanctions on Thursday. Even though Ibrahimovic has alreadyapologized for the rant, in which he calls France a “s*** country”, among other things, far-right National Front leader Marine Le Pen said the PSG striker should leave.
