Former U.S. World Cup player Preki announced on Wednesday that he was leaving reigning USL champion Sacramento Republic FC, to take an unnamed position at a club in England — a move he likened to aD-League coach getting offered a job to coach in the NBA. He told the Sacramento Bee that theUnited States still lags far behind other countries in terms of men’s soccer.
