PSG is appearing in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League for the fourth successive year, but it will need to oust Manchester City in their series to justify its spending since QatarInvestment Authority acquired PSG in 2011.
“If we win tomorrow,” PSG coach Laurent Blanc said, “it will help create a new era of French football, it will change things and itwould be a real breakthrough if we get to the semifinals for the first time. But that is not the ultimate objective. Expectations are high for us and will remain high until we finally become Europeanchampions.”
