Two days after winning the Asian Cup with Australia, midfielder Tim Cahill has officially severed ties to the Red Bulls. He leaves with one year remaining on his MLS Designated Playercontract, which he signed in July, 2012. He earned $3.65 million in 2014. Terms of the severance were not disclosed.
