The soccer at the 2024 European Championship may not have been that memorable, but one outstanding feature of the tournament was the lack of unnecessary drama out on the field. UEFA used Euro 24 to experiment with the kind of rule that for years has been successfully implemented in multiple other sports. Only the appointed team captains were permitted to discuss decisions with the game officials.
