[W-LEAGUE] The LA Blues, the 2014 regular-season champions, improved to 13-0-0 with a 2-1 win over the Colorado Pride in the Western Conference final and will headthe semifinal field at the W-League Championship that kicks off Friday at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.

The Blues, formed through an offseason merger of the LA Strikers and the 2013W-League champions Pali Blues, won on goals by Sasha Andrews and Elizabeth Eddy. The Pali Blues had earned four trips tothe final four in their six-year history.

The Blues will face the Charlotte Lady Eagles, who took the Southeastern Conference title by defeating the top-seeded Gulf Coast Texans inpenalty kicks after a 2-2 draw. Leah Fortune led the Lady Eagles with a goal and an assist.

The Ottawa Fury and Washington Spirit Reserves meet inthe other semifinals. The Fury beat K-W United, 4-0, before 402 fans on Saturday. Teresa Rynier led Ottawa with two goals. The Spirit Reserves got two goalseach from Kelsey Pardue and Emily Bruder in a 6-0 win over Braddock Road Stars Elite. Ashley Herndon added a goal and three assists.
