According to a new survey published by France Football (via the Bleacher Report), Barcelona striker Lionel Messi is the world’s highest paid player, having made $71.3 millionfrom salary and sponsorships combined. Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo is the second-highest-paid player with $59.2 million, followed by Barca forward Neymar, who is third,with $40 million. Fourth is Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva, while Manchester United striker Robin van Persie is fifth on the list.
