Members of FIFA’s ethics committee have recommended that Sepp Blatter, facing a Swiss criminal investigation into his dealings as FIFA president, be suspendedfor 90 days. Blatter adviser Klauss Stohlker told BBC Sport: “The news was communicated to the president this afternoon. He is calm. Remember he is thefather of the ethics committee. This is provisional for 90 days but he is not actually suspended. The committee has not yet made a decision and their meetings continue.” Those meetings began in Zurichon Monday. No decision has been made regarding the fate of UEFA president Michel Platini, linked to a $2 million payment by Blatter that Swiss authorities labeled as “disloyal.”
