Jozy Altidore could be on his way to Germany, according to reports in England. The USA striker, who missed a golden opportunity to give Sunderland the lead in Saturday’s 1-1 draw withWest Ham, has not scored a Premier League goal in more than a year, but Werder Bremen is reportedly interested in the 25-year-old, as the 17th-place Bundesliga club prepares for a relegation battle inthe second half of the season. According to the Sunderland Echo, Bremen would take Alitodore on loan for the remainder of the season with an option to buy his contract in the summer. Otherreports in Europe have claimed the American is a target of Ligue 1 club Lille.
Speaking after Altidore’s miss from four yards against West Ham at the Stadium of Light last weekend,
Altidore, meanwhile, has just two goals in 69 appearances for Sunderland. After the glaring miss against West Ham, Poyet remarked: “He was devastated. I have never seen Jozy like thatbefore. If Jozy scored you would say to me what a great decision to play him, but unfortunately he didn’t. We know he needs a goal.”

Yeah,right,that’s a big laugh!
I think Bremen would be a great fit for Jozy, Sunderland is not a good situation for him and I think he can get back to his scoring ways with a fresh start. As a die hard USMNT fan and also a Bremen fan I would love to see this happen. There are a lot of Jozy haters out there but I think he can turn things around with the right situation.
