Coach Jaime Frias, recently hired U.S. Soccer Development Coach, will run his first camp as U.S. U-16 girls national team head coach with a squad of 26 players in Portland, Oregon,May 28-June 4.
The majority of the players in the squad were born in 2000 and are in the second year of a two-year cycle before becoming the U-18s and then the U-20s with the goal of playing inthe 2020 U-20 Women’s World Cup.
The U-16 camp coincides with the U.S. girls U-15 camp in Portland under Coach Mark Carr and the teams willscrimmage several times.
