Eighteen players from 18 clubs were named to Coach Gerry McKeown‘s squad for the 2016 id2 National Selection International Tour to Spain Feb. 20-March 2. The team, comprised of 16players born in 2002 and two in 2003, will face their counterparts in the youth programs of Valencia, Villarreal, Espanyol and Barcelona.
The two 2003s are midfielders DanielEdelman and Thomas Musto.

I thought this 2016 cycle was for 2003 players?”The upcoming cycle targeting boys born in 2003 and girls born in 2002 will include four id2 Training Camps in 2016 and National Selection programming in early 2016. Invitations for both spring 2016 camps will begin to be distributed by US Club Soccer on Feb. 1, so Directors of Coaching are encouraged to submit recommendations ASAP.”Any idea why only two 2003 players on the roster?
PDA was picked. I suppose thats a gimme for Coach Mckeown. I will say this… having a player picked for ID2 and being fortunate enough to be a chaperone. Coach Mckeown is the real deal. An excellent communicator to the boys, and he flat out just know his stuff. Another thing I learned. If you looking for political twist your always going to find them… everywhere. I have always wondered why coach Mckeown has not been tapped by US soccer. Perhaps he is doing just fine as it is.
