Veteran Costa Rican forward Alvaro Saborio, who arrived from Real Salt Lake in mid-season, has agreed to a contract extension with D.C. United. Saborio,33,  has scored 67 goals over six seasons in MLS but his contract was to expire at the end of the 2015 season, which made him expendable at RSL.
