Believe it or not, Portuguese scientists from the University of Lisbon have decided to name a newly-found galaxy after Real Madrid and Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo. According to a NewYork Times report, the galaxy, called CR7, is “a recently discovered galaxy that existed when the universe was only about 800 million years old” and “is three times as luminous as anypreviously found from that time.” According to the report, the name “inspired by the great Portuguese soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo, aka CR7.”
