Of the 38 players who appeared in 2022 World Cup qualifying for the USA, 20 played for Tab Ramos-coached U.S. U-20 national teams. And 14 played for Ramos’ U-20 World Cup teams. Twenty-nine took part in the youth national team program while Ramos served as U.S. Soccer Youth Technical Director in 2013-19. He was Houston Dynamo head coach in 2020-21. As he did at the 2018 World Cup, Ramos will serve as a Telemundo commentator at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
