Tottenham will be without Belgian defender Jan Vertonghen for six weeks with an ankle ligament injury, but Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino said the injury wasn’t as bad as firstfeared. Kevin Wimmer and Ben Davies are expected to compete for Vertonghen’s place in Tottenham’s three-man defense. Another option: 19-year-old American Cameron Carter-Vickers.
