[SAN DIEGO WOMEN] San Diego was the only unranked team to knock off a Top 25 team, beating No. 20 USC, 1-0, Friday afternoon in the season opener for both teamsat McAllister Field.
Freshman forward Devany Savage‘s first collegiate goal off a cross from junior striker Stephanie Ochs into the box was the difference.

The Toreros, who moved into the Soccer America Women’s Top 25 at No. 25, outshot the Trojans 10-8 and had a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks.
They will return to actionthis weekend as they host Arizona and Michigan at the USD Tournament at Torero Stadium.
