Three teams pulled upsets in the U.S. Open Cup’s third round, which marked the entry of the USL Championship’s top 16 teams.

• Union Omaha 1-0 San Antonio FC:  Dion Acoff scored the lone goal in the first half for the reigning USL League champion Owls, who are 11-3 in four Open Cup campaigns with two wins over MLS teams in 2022 and wins over USL Championship teams in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
