Kari Seitz, U.S. Soccer’s new Vice President of Refereeing, began reffing at age 14 in Michigan in 1985 when her coach required all the team’s players to take the refereeing course. Within a year, Seitz was the only one who kept reffing, despite the behavior of coaches and fans during the first U-12 boys games she officiated.
