Bayern Munich reached the Champions League quarterfinals by beating Arsenal 5-1 for the second time. The Gunners saw their captain Laurent Koscielny ejected in the 54 minute, afterwhich Bayern got goals from Robert Lewandowski, Arjen Robben, Douglas Costa and two from Arturo Vidal for a 10-2 aggregate win.Theo Walcotthad given Arsenal a 1-0 halftime lead.
It was Arsenal’s worst home loss since 1998 and a seventh successive elimination at the competition’s round of 16 stage.
