It was a bad day for the Manchester clubs in Europe as City and United both let leads slip en route to losing 2-1 in their respective UEFA Champions League openers against Juventus and PSVEindhoven on Tuesday.For United, the bad news was compounded by a serious injury to left-back Luke Shaw, who was stretchered off the field in the first half. Elsewhere, Cristiano Ronaldonetted another hat-trick as Real Madrid routed Shakhtar Donetsk 4-0 in its Group A opener, which unfortunately saw Gareth Bale, Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane all leave the fieldprematurely with injuries. In the group’s other game, Paris Saint-Germain beat Malmo 2-0, with new signing Angel Di Maria scoring his first goal for the Ligue 1 leader.
