Jamie Vardy ended a nine-game scoreless streak when he scored in the second half to keep struggling Leicester City alive in the UEFA Champions League. The Foxes fell to Sevilla, 2-1, in thefirst leg of their round-of-16 series, but Vardy’s goal on one of only two Leicester shots on target provided a valuable away goal. City’s other hero was keeper Kasper Schmeichel, who saved aJoaquin Correa penalty with the score at 0-0.
Pablo Sarabia and Correa scored for Sevilla, which also hit the post and crossbar.
